Salish Sea Strength & Conditioning is pleased to announce that we're offering a workshop on building explosive leg strength!
Our good friends at Valkyrie Western Martial Arts Assembly are hosting us for a 2-hour workshop on Saturday, August 6th from 2-4pm.
We'll be working on building explosive strength in the lower body, with a specific focus on fencing and combat sports. However, the materials covered in this workshop are applicable to all forms of athletic training, including track & field, soccer, rugby, basketball, sprinting, and more.
Over the course of two hours, we'll cover:
- An in-depth discussion of force, speed, and applied physiology as it pertains to fencing and martial arts;
- A chance to practice a variety of movements designed to build power in your lower body
- An introduction to appropriate progressions and programming to keep training on your own.
No prior experience is necessary. Please bring note-taking materials, water, and comfortable workout clothes.
